The Family Environment Scale (Moos & Moos, 1976) is a 90 item measure that evaluates the social environment of the family unit. Three forms are available: the Real Form (Form R), which measures the family environment as it is; the Ideal Form (Form I) which measures the family environment as it would be in a perfect situation; and the Expected Form (Form E), which measures the family.
