Timon And Pumbaa Typing Game Free
Broadening a young computer user's horizons by building keyboard proficiency is the goal of this CD-ROM. The program uses three popular characters from Disney's 1994 animated film 'The Lion King' -- Timon, Pumbaa and Rafiki the baboon -- to teach children how to type.
The program relies on a nice framing device to lure kids to the keyboard. After Timon and Pumbaa tell Rafiki that they plan to go on a jungle adventure, the wise old baboon realizes that the two hapless friends will most likely get into trouble and will need a little help to get back home again. With that, Rafiki presents the user with a keyboard made from leaves and rocks, and the lessons begin.
The program is paced for young students. With on-screen animations, the first lesson focuses on correct posture and hand positions on the keyboard, as well as half of the home-row keys. Lesson 2 picks up the rest of the home row.

As the student works through the drills, the key combinations gradually move from simple key repetitions (like ddd, fff, lll, aaa, sss) to simple words (like sad, dad, falls) that help the user see where all this is going.
