How to get eq eight plugin Post by AOUMmusic » Wed May 27, 2020 9:36 am Actually I don't have eq eight in my software so, I'm unable to find the way to get the eq eight plugin.Could anyone help me regarding the issue. EQ Eight has 8 filters which you can turn on & off by pressing the squares by their numbers. Every filter can be one of 8 types which you can select in the menu above the on/off button. When you turn on a filter and select its type you can move it around the spectrum by moving the yellow circle with the filter’s number inside.

It gives us a collection of filters that lets us shape the sound by boosting or attenuating frequencies.

Fixed Band
This type of EQs are very colorful more musical and less precise. They are great to give your sound some character.
This type of EQs have few knobs that are hard-set to a pre- determined band of frequencies. It’s very easy to use with great results.
Unfortunately in Ableton Live we do not have a Fixed Band EQ (The EQ Three is more for DJs than to color the sound) but you can get a really great FREE(!) one called Luftikus (Supports 32 and 64 bit)
Parametric
Parametric EQs might be the most popular type and we can find them in any major music software.
This type of EQs let you change the filter types, Filter Width and of course the frequency. In most cases you also get a graphical display for the EQ.
Most software parametric EQ also offers a built-in Spectrum Analyzer to help you understand the sonic content of the sound. Since Ableton Live 9 we have a built-in spectrum in EQ Eight.
Parametric EQs are very precise and they can cut or boost frequencies in a micro, surgical way.
As a result of all this changeable parameters it can be hard to know which frequencies you should boost or cut and you might end up making the sound worse than making it better.
If you just starting out or want quick results you can use Ableton Live’s EQ presets. In Live’s browser under Audio Effect you can click on the expand button next to EQ Eight and reveal all the factory presets.
If you have Ableton Live 8 you can also use the presets from that version (Which are different than 9).
This presets are great but they might limit you to a small selection of options to shape your sound.
Logic EQ Presets for Live
As I mentioned above. Major Music Softwares today all have a built-in EQ. And like Ableton Live those built-in EQs also comes with presets.
Apple Logic Pro X is one of the most popular software for music producers. It’s built-in Effects are top of the line and they all have presets to match.
Logic EQ presets for Live is a collection of more then 100 presets for Live’s EQ Eight. I’ve ported all the presets and translated them to Live’s built-in EQ Eight.
